Clover Hill is idyllically situated in the picturesque crofting township of Torrin (population 65), just over 6 miles from Broadford, the nearest centre, and 32 miles from Portree, the capital of Skye. The view from the cottage is simply breathtaking. In the foreground is a burn which runs down from the Red Hills some 2,000 ft (600 metres) above Torrin, before flowing into the sea at Loch Slapin, a quarter of a mile from Clover Hill.

The burn, surrounding trees and croftland all provide a tranquil setting for the dramatic, ever-changing backdrop of Blaven, rising majestically to 3044 feet (928 metres) above Loch Slapin. Blaven is part of the famous Black Cuillin and is widely considered to be one of Scotland's finest mountain views.

Accommodation

The lounge is spacious with stunning views towards Loch Slapin and Blaven. Facilities include a satellite colour tv/video/dvd, a quality cd/cassette hi-fi system, seating for 6 people, a coffee table and the focal point coal effect electric fire.

The cottage provides accomodation for six people with one double four-poster bed, a twin room with two single beds and a third bedroom with an adult size bunk bed that sleeps two people.

Facilities

The kitchen includes an automatic clothes washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric fan oven and hob, a microwave, a toaster, iron/ironing board and a full range of kitchenware. There is a table and seating for six people.

The cottage includes a bathroom with both a bath and an electric shower over it. There are night storage heaters in the lounge and the hall. There are also timed and thermostatically controlled panel heaters in the bedrooms one and two with a fan heater in the third bedroom and bathroom. An immersion heater provides the hot water. All electricity is included in the rent.

Both the lawn and the whole garden are enclosed by a fence. There is a patio with a rustic table and seating for six people. A clothes line is present as well as a midge machine nearby. There is private access to the burn which forms the boundary of the garden although it is beyond the garden fence.
