Accommodation

The Old Church comfortably accommodates up to eight people in four double bedrooms, each having the privacy and convenience of its own bathroom. The master bedroom has a large corner bath en suite and the other bathrooms are fitted with Mira power showers. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and the other two are twin bedded.

The spacious front entrance hall has plenty of room for storing and changing into outdoor gear. The downstairs cloakroom is also located here.

The breakfast room, situated next to the kitchen provides a relaxed eating space whilst the dining hall, with its large hand crafted table, is a grander setting for evening meals or entertaining.

Whilst most rooms in the Old Church boast fantastic views, it is the sitting room that has the finest, with a large picture window giving uninterrupted views of the world famous Blaven Ridge. The sitting room has large comfortable sofas, a real flame wood burner style stove, a good quality CD system and a wide screen satellite television and DVD player. A selection of CDs and DVDs are provided but guests are welcome to bring along their favourites. The Old Church also has a selection of maps and guide books as well as a good collection of novels and board games. The living room has the same antique floorboards used to great effect throughout the ground floor.

Facilities

The solid wood, fully fitted kitchen has been equipped with everything guests could want, from cast iron casseroles and frying pans, to good quality chefs' knives and even a dishwasher so nobody's tied to the kitchen sink. The oil-fired Rayburn provides a constant supply of hot water as well as giving visitors the pleasure of using a traditional oven without the hard work of stocking it with coal every morning (central heating throughout ensures the cottage is cosy and welcoming throughout the year). The kitchen is also equipped with a microwave/grill oven and a large larder style fridge.

The washing machine, tumble dryer and large larder style freezer are all to be found in the separate utility room which has access to the rear of the house where there is a washing line. The utility is also stocked with an iron and ironing board.

Possibly the best view of Blaven on the whole island can be seen from the large decked area which runs along the entire front of the cottage. There is plenty of seating, a large table and a BBQ so whether it's a morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or a full BBQ you want you can enjoy it accompanied by these stunning views.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome.

Towels, bed linen and fuel are included in the bill.
