Larchwood is a larch-clad modern purpose built detached house with extensive views over Loch Long and towards Loch Alsh and Skye. On the ground floor there is a roomy entrance hallway with loads of space to get into and out of outdoor gear, and plenty of cupboard, coat hanging, and boot storage space. The washing machine and tumble drier are housed in a cupboard off the hall.
Doors off the hallway lead to a large shower room, double bedroom with a full height window overlooking the loch, and to the living, dining and kitchen areas. The lounge and dining area is "L" shaped with large picture windows taking up the whole of one side to give excellent views out over the loch and also towards Skye and Loch Alsh. The dining area has a large wooden table and very comfortable Italian dining chairs for relaxed holiday meals. Sliding doors lead off to the modern fitted kitchen.
Accommodation
The lounge has a wood-burning stove, and a very high ceiling to give it a comfortable and spacious feel. There is a TV with 4 terrestrial channels and a DVD player, and also a CD player. The entire ground floor is floored in oak, and is heated by underfloor electric heating divided into a number of zones for ease of control. A staircase leads off the dining area to the first floor where there are two further double/twin bedrooms and a bathroom. Heating upstairs is by wall-mounted electric radiators. Both upstairs bedrooms are fully carpeted, and have very large velux windows for loch views.
The bathroom also has a large velux window so you can have a bath and at the same time take in views of the hills and sky and sometimes the sheep! (The velux windows do have blackout blinds - these sheep can be terribly nosy!) Outside, there is a deck at the front which overlooks the loch, and at the back parking space for 2 cars.
Facilities
Prices include bedlinen, towels, electricity, and fuel for the stove.
A child's cot and high chair can be provided on request.
Pets - we are happy to accommodate 1 well-trained pet per holiday party but would ask you to inform us that you'll be bringing your pet.
Smoking - No smoking indoors.
